This unique event marks a significant day in Cómpeta’s calendar, tracing back to an age-old tradition where the community would gather to bid farewell to the farmers heading out to harvest grapes, not seeing them again until the autumn.

  Mass in Honor of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción
  Location: Church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción
  A solemn mass to honor the patron saint of Cómpeta.

  Pasacalles of Fandangos de Cómpeta
  Location: Streets of Cómpeta
  Enjoy the lively parade featuring traditional Fandangos de Cómpeta and the Panda de Verdiales de San Isidro from Periana.
• 12:30 PM
  Traditional Grape Treading
  Location: Plaza de la Vendimia
  The symbolic grape treading ceremony led by the honorary treader, singer José Miguel Pérez ‘Miguel Botana’, to kick off the wine-making season.

  Presentation of the Vendimiadores de Honor
  Location: Plaza de la Vendimia
  Honoring this year’s Vendimiadores de Honor: José López Requena, José Miguel Romero Pérez, Auxiliadora Ortiz Fernández, and the Dispositivo Infoca for their dedication to preserving the natural parks and mountains of the region.

  Tasting of Migas with Cod, Salad, and Local Grapes
  Location: Plaza de la Vendimia
  Savor the traditional flavors of Cómpeta with complimentary tastings of migas, cod, salad, and grapes, accompanied by 1,000 liters of locally produced sweet Moscatel wine.

  The evening program begins with a speech by local poetess Luisa Ruiz López, followed by the presentation of the prestigious Uvas de Plata to Luisa Ruiz López, Marina Inocencia Fernández Ávila, and Steffen Brondegaard.

  Flamenco Singing Festival
  Location: Plaza de la Almijara
